“College, Exams, Pressure, Results, Life, Internship blah blah and blah! But then I came here“, I hope this gets quoted in the Supersonic Teaser for 2015.
This year Vh1 Supersonic Goa was an absolute win for all! Sand in the toes, Music, The Iron Heart (VJ Kaycee everyone love you for that), Graffiti, Nikhil Chinapa (As like always) and many other super awesome things put together made this year’s supersonic a memory to cherish forever.
Well, for me it all started by being selected as one of the lucky winners for the #QuiksilverGoesSupersonic. Where the chosen one’s will confirm their bus seat from Mumbai to all the way to the ultimate destination which is GOA! And mind it, it’s not just a simple bus ride! It’s the Quiksilver way to get you on board to the best dance festival.
About The Bus Journey
15 unknown people boarded the bus, but till the time reaching back made them best friends. That’s what was the beauty of the Quicksilver Goes Supersonic! EDM dumb charades (Yes, bit complex but ask me it was totally worth it), Amazing Food, Bonfire, Music etc was an absolute bliss for a music lover like me!
If you were there, you know it! You could feel those vibes the moment you close your eyes and take a deep breath! Supersonic felt me more like a home and looking at the lineup was simply a temptation to be there to witness some crazy tunes of Dillon Francis, Paul Van Dyk, Mat Zo, Above & Beyond, Dash Berlin, Chainsmokers, Gareth Emry, Infected Mushrooms, Funkagenda, Jeremy Olander and many more! Adding more to that, I really fell in love with the 3 stages this year
1. The Iron Heart – Witnessed the likes of the headlines, one look of the stage can complety make you in love with it! Here’s how it looked like
2. Laboritoire Stage – Some crazy visuals witnessed with the likes of Nerm & D-Code, Stanton Warriors, Skitz, Delta heavy etc seemed something like
3. Spectrum- Heavy bass meets trance and deep/techno alongside the artist like Alvaro, Coyu, Eli & Fur, Mark Knight etc
Felt like 10 pm was early to leave? Cool, head over to after party and dance like there’s no tomorrow. Well, they made sure to wrap up by 4 just because they wanted you to bounce and gear up for the next day as well! Yes, they love you.
‘India is lucky to have this man‘ Jono Grant for Nikhil Chinapa. Well, yes! I’ve heard this similar praise from almost every DJ who visit us here in India. From security to maintenance, this man got it all done! Where on earth you get free water? Kudos to Nikhil Sir, Pearl Ma’am & team for this home called supersonic! I really love you both straight from my heart!
For me Dillon Francis set was an absolute thrill! To be honest, one of the best set of 2014 I’ve been too. Also, would like to say a hearty thanks to the team Quiksilver and special thanks to Sneha Hingorani, Anuj Mishra & Sohail Patel for managing thing beautifully there. Jatin Israni, Kaushal Karkhanis, Priyank Jain, Honey Pamnani, Nikhil Jain, Rahul Rane, Rahul Kalbalia, Dhananjay Thakkar, Aditi Abhay, Karuna Lulla, Disha Khurana, Vinay Nagwani, Piyush Ankita, Shivyendu, Shreye, Richie & Mahesh Jakotia for this. Hope to see you all next year at Candolim, Goa! Cheers.
Here’s leaving you with the final moments of #vh1supersonic with Dash Berlin.
